Stephen Anderson joins growing casual concept as Sr. Director of Food and Beverage

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (October 10, 2003) — In a move that highlights the importance of its menu and new product development, Logan's Roadhouse, Inc. today announced the appointment of Stephen Anderson as Senior Director of Food and Beverage. This is the growing casual concept's first full-time food and beverage professional, and indicates that Logan's is increasing its focus on development of new products to build customer interest.

"Logan's has always insisted on offering high quality menu items that provide a real value for customers," says President and Chief Operating Officer Tom Vogel. "But in the past, we hadn't dedicated full-time resources to new product development. By hiring Steve Anderson in this new position, we will be able to delight our customers with new creative offerings as we grow the number of restaurants and reach more people." Vogel added, "Steve's creativity and hotel, restaurant and consulting experience bring a valuable combination of expertise to our team. We are thrilled to have him join the Logan's team."

Anderson most recently served as Director of Product Development and Executive Chef for Red Lobster. Previous positions have included serving as Executive Chef at several independent restaurants and working for the Harvey Hotel Corporation in Dallas. Anderson holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a BS in Hotel Administration from Cornell University, and has trained at the Culinary Institute of America-Greystone. He has won several industry awards, and was recognized by Restaurant Business magazine as the 2001 Menu Strategist of the Year and the 2001 Menu Strategist for casual dining chefs. Stephen was also recognized in 2002 by Nation's Restaurant News as the Menu Masters Chef on the Rise.

"I am very excited to join the Logan's team," says Anderson. "Logan's is a great concept. Building on a solid foundation of strong restaurant management, friendly service, and affordable prices, my goal is to work with the Logan's team in developing a great menu with extremely desirable items which can be executed at a high level each and every day."

The Logan's Roadhouse® concept is modeled after 1930's and 1940's roadhouses and has succeeded in appealing to a broad range of guests by offering generous portions of moderately priced, quality food in a fun and exciting atmosphere. Each unit offers a true Americana Roadhouse experience. Logan's trademark buckets of peanuts are at each table, and customers are welcome to watch the grill cooks through display windows. The menu features a wide variety of fun, casual foods including a variety of U.S.D.A. choice, aged steaks hand-cut on premise; baby-back ribs; mesquite-grilled chicken; appetizers; salads and seafood. Logan's Roadhouse restaurants also have a full service bar that offers many drink selections, including a variety of beers and signature Roadhouse Teas.
